Springtime is a great time to go RV camping! Not only do you get to avoid the heat and large crowds of the summer, but you also get to see the beauty of nature in an entirely different season of its life. To learn more about how to prepare for a spring camping trip in your new RV, check out the article below.

Allergies

Spring brings pollen, resulting in runny noses and scratchy throats for campers. When packing for your upcoming camping trip, be sure to bring along plenty of allergy medication to help you avoid a stuffy nose so you can enjoy the wonderful spring weather.

Rain

While spring is typically a temperate and sunny season, rain is likely going to appear at some point in the forecast. To ensure you don’t end up soaked, be sure to bring along some handy rain gear including waterproof footwear, rain ponchos, and an umbrella or two to keep everyone dry. If your RV campsite isn’t paved, we also recommend bringing along a few strong wooden boards to place under your model’s wheels to ensure it doesn’t sink into the mud below.

Cold Weather

While spring days are sunny, warm, and perfect for hiking, nights can get cold very quickly. You likely won’t need to insulate your RV’s pipes or bring along a large space heater, but we do recommend packing a few extra sets of warm clothes and some heavy blankets.
